The Torch Ceremony and Internet Torch Relay Launching Ceremony, the first major event of the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of PRC, kicked off at Dengfeng Observatory in Gaocheng Town on the morning of May 8.
作为第十一届全国少数民族传统体育运动会的首个重要活动，火种采集仪式暨互联网火炬传递启动仪式5月8日上午在登封市告成镇观星台举行。

The Torch Ceremony consisted of three parts: ignition, on-site torch relay and internet torch relay.
火种采集仪式共有三个主要环节：火种采集、现场传递和启动互联网火炬传递。
The lighter first lit the torch and then passed on the torch on the spot in Dengfeng Observatory. Zhengzhou-born celebrities – Shi Yigong, former vice president of Tsinghua University, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Westlake University, and Hai Xia, famous CCTV anchor, were the first and second torch bearer.
经过火种采集使者采出火焰后，进行现场的火炬传递，两位郑州老乡——清华大学原副校长、中国科学院院士、西湖大学校长施一公和央视著名主持人海霞，来到仪式现场担任第一棒、第二棒火炬手。
In the Internet Torch Relay Launching Ceremony, “Zhong Zhong” , a 3D virtual mascot on LED display, took the torch from Hai Xia, marking the start of the internet torch relay which will last till the opening of the National Traditional Games on Sep. 8 when the main torch will be lit in Olympic Sports Center.
在启动互联网火炬传递仪式上，第二棒火炬手海霞和LED大屏里面三维虚拟的吉祥物“中中”完成火炬虚拟接力，互联网火炬传递开始，整个传递过程将持续到9月8日运动会开幕，届时将点燃郑州奥体中心的主火炬。
During the Internet Torch Relay, all people around the country may scan QR code to join the online relay via Mini Program, and share the excellent moment to WeChat Group. In addition, a lucky draw program is designed by the Torch Relay Group of Executive Committee to encourage wider participation.

On the Ceremony, 56 children from all ethnic groups and dressed in different national clothes sang the theme song "I Love China" of the Games and "Song of 24 Solar Terms" adapted from traditional ballad. They were the first chorus of young singers from all ethnic groups in a national sports meet.
仪式上，来自全国各地的56位各民族少年儿童，身着各民族传统服装，合唱全国民族运动会主题歌《爱我中华》，以及根据传统民谣改编的《二十四节气歌》。这也是全国民族运动会历史上第一次由各民族小歌手组成合唱团。
The torch of this year's Games is named "Xin Xiang"( Aspiration for a better future). It is colored in Chinese red, representing the passion and enthusiasm of Henan Province. The fusion of the elements of torch and emblem of this event is a perfect mix of the long-standing civilization and the modern style of the province. The torch is in the similar hue of the emblem. The pattern of dragon on the left and phoenix on the right symbolizes the “good fortune”. The orange ribbon in the middle highlights the core design, standing for a flying flag and also the artistic form of “Z Z”, the initials of Zhengzhou, showing the infinite vigor and passion passed on by torch relay.
本届全国民族运动会火炬“心向”采用喜庆的中国红，代表了河南的热情与激情。火炬元素以及本届民族运动会会徽元素的融合，将河南源远流长的千年文明与现代时尚进行了完美结合。火炬整体色调源自会徽，画面中左龙右凤的底纹，呼应会徽“龙凤呈祥”的寓意。中间橙色飘带是火炬整体造型——飞扬的旗帜，也是“郑州”二字拼音首字母“Z Z”的变形，象征着火炬传递的活力与激情。
